variety of benign but unsightly skin growths or lesions are commonly found in the face and neck, and can safely be removed with an improvement in the patient's appearance. It takes an experienced surgeon to know which lesions are best removed and by what technique. If the appearance or behavior of the lesion merits investigation, Dr. Godin will send the specimen for examination by a pathologist. It is important for you to remember that the hallmark of a potentially serious lesion is change.

Skin lesions that are changing in size, shape, or color should be pointed out to your physician, and when appropriate a biopsy must be performed. Unfortunately, the rate of certain serious skin cancers is increasing in our society. Dr. Godin frequently removes such skin cancers, and has a vast experience reconstructing the defects caused by their removal.
